The Northwest Chapter of AITP is a not-for-profit professional association comprised of professionals in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota facing the issues of designing, developing and implementing Information Technology. The Norwest Chapter is affiliated with the national Association of Information Technology Professionals organization headquartered near Chicago, Illinois. (www.aitp.org). The Northwest Chapter is dedicated to promoting awareness of solutions to today's issues by facilitating the sharing IT knowledge and experience. It supports its members through the promotion of professionalism and education, and offers member support in the form of conferences expositions, publications, and idea exchange with peers at monthly meetings.

Q3 2013 Meeting - 3D Printing at HTC

Join us on Monday, August 5th for the Q3 NWAITP meeting. This quarter's guest speaker will be Rick Montzka speaking on 3D Printing technologies. We will be meeting at the Eden Prairie campus of Hennepin Technical College.

Q2 2013 Meeting - Microsoft Azure

Join us on Monday, April 15th for the Q2 NWAITP meeting. This quarter's guest speaker will be Kevin Remde speaking on the Microsoft Azure platform. Kevin is a Senior IT Pro Evangelist for Microsoft and always delivers an informative presentation when he speaks to our chapter. This will be a great topic for our student chapters to hear as Azure promises to be a platform on which they'll be building applications in their future careers.

Quarterly NWAITP Meeting: The Changing Face of Technical Education

Please join us for our first quarterly meeting of 2013 on Thursday, January 17th at 5pm. We will be meeting at the Eden Prairie campus of ITT Tech and our topic will be The Changing Face of Technical Education. The meeting will begin at 5:00 with dinner and some announcements followed quickly at 5:15 with our main presentation - classes start at 6:00pm so we want our student attendees to have the maximum amount of time to hear from our panel. The meeting will wrap up by 6:30 and there will be some general networking opportunities after the meeting.

After the Recovery: Positioning IT for Business Success Seminar

AITP is co-sponsoring special 1-day seminar designed for CIOs, Directors, Managers and other IT Leaders who are involved in planning and supporting new technology and operational initiatives and are looking for a broad understanding of these topics.

The board has been active this summer planning for ways to increase membership, deepen member engagement and in general revitalize our AITP chapter. We've have a number of items in the works, but none if it matters if we can't get all of you on-board!
